What's Involved
From borders and trees to containers and gate mending, a season in the garden can present tasks which require confidence in broad set of skills. This approach allows us to make the right horticultural, environmental and personal decisions to ensure your garden can be enjoyed without the hassle of finding a person to do your hedges, a different person to do the weeding and yet another to design and build your new composting system. Beds and Borders
My bread and butter. To keep borders looking intentional, rather than merely tidy, ornamental bed care is a back and forth conversation throughout the season. First between me and you, then between us and the border. Throughout the year this care includes weeding, pruning, dividing, mulching and planting to ensure the longterm health of the bed. I enjoy this part of the garden because it provides equal opportunity for craft, creativity and observation.
Trees & Shrubs
Formative and maintenance pruning keeps small trees and large shrubs healthy and looking their best. This can include crown lifting, dead or diseased wood removal, and seasonal shaping for ornamentals. With considered timing and pruning method, trees and shrubs can be beautiful, beneficial to the ecosystem and safe for all those who benefit from them.
Hedges and Topiary
From tight, dense perimeter hedging to delicate box ball topiary to annual native hedge care. Crisp lines make for an easy win in keeping the garden neat and tidy.
